BDS Bham 1987 – GDC Reg No: 62686

Ian qualified in 1987 and bought Arden House in 1992. Ian has a special interest in implantology, having placed hundreds of dental implants over a career spanning almost 25 years and is a referral dentist for many other dentists across Gloucestershire and the South West. He uses the Straumann implant system amongst others and trained at the prestigious Strauman Institute in Switzerland.

Ian is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and as recommended by the General Dental Council follows the ADI’s protocols for recording and auditing the success of every implant that he places.  Ask about his success rates and he’ll know for a fact.

Ian has almost 10 years’ experience in using CEREC technology.  His mastery of this equipment means he can make crowns whilst you wait and offer smile makeovers in day.  This technology has transformed the level of service we can offer.

Whether simple or complex, Ian has probably seen it before so you can be assured of a realistic opinion – explained in a way that you’ll understand.

Ian works with our dentists Michael and Sarah, and our dental hygienists to identify improvements and to implement the latest technical developments across the practice.

Ian sold the practice to Sarah Farrier in September 2014.  He continues to work full time at Arden House – working with Sarah to build on the outstanding reputation Arden House has always enjoyed.

Ian loves the business of dentistry as much as its clinical aspects and is proud that Arden House has been part of the British Dental Association (BDA) Good Practice Scheme since 2008.

Ian is married to Lorraine, has three dogs, three cats and two ducks. The dogs usually come to work and patients enjoy following their stories on the “zoo-pole” and the blog. Ian loves animals and this is reflected in the charities he supports.
